Well, the first season of the bow league is over and all in all, I think it went pretty well.  I want to thank everyone who came out and shot with us and I hope you had a great time.  It came right down to the wire for first place, but after all was said and done, Sylvarena/Zion Hill edged out the Mt. Zion team by 5 points.  So after a whole month of shooting and over a thousand points being scored, it all came down to one target.  We have had a great time putting this together and can’t wait for next year to do it again.  Please go to the forum link at the top of the page to discuss ways we could make it better for next year or email me at pseaster@gapac.com .  I will be sure and keep everyone posted of when the new season will start.  In the mean time, keep practicing and start recruiting people for your team for next year.  Good luck to everyone this hunting season.  Be safe, hunt hard, and always give God the Glory.  Shane

Where:  Mt. Zion Baptist Church (in open area past parking lot to the west of the church) 

When: Every Tuesday night in September starting September 1.  From 5:30 to 8:30.  You do not have to come at the same time as a team.  Team members can come and shoot whenever is convenient for them and simply tell what team they are shooting for. 

Who: League is for church teams.  A church team can consist of as many team members as they want.  You do not have to be a member of the church to be on their team.  Men, Women and children can all shoot and will all be on the same church team and scores will count the same except for the distances will be different for women and kids.

Format:  There will be 8 to 10 3D targets set up with scoring rings.  Distances will be given or you are welcome to use rangefinders.  All scores will be turned in to officials.  The team scores will consist of the top 3 scores for that week.  So it is important that each team make sure they have at least 3 team members shoot each week.  At the end of the month, all the team scores will be added up and winners announced.  We will post the standings each week so everyone will know how their team is doing.  We will also keep up with individual scores and have individual winners for the month.  T-shirts will be given to all shooters who shot on the First and Second place team.  We are new at this and want it to be as much fun as possible so we are definitely open to ideas and things may change as we find what works better.

Cost:  Cost to shoot each night will be $5.00.  This will help to buy more targets and to help make this bigger and better.  We eventually want to have this where it is a 3D pop-up style shoot which we think would be even more fun.
