Pictured above  are Scotty Oberschmidt of Apple Valley, California, Kelly McDonald and son, Scott McDonald, from Brookhaven, MS on a very eventful hunting trip they enjoyed in Canada in late August 2008.  Scott told the Bragging Post, "We went to Canada this past week 2000 miles north of Brookhaven just off of the Hudson Bay.  There were 9 guys in camp and we were able to take 17 mature caribou  (12 with bow and 5 with rifle). One guy passed a lot looking for one to make the books.  He let one get by him but dad didn't. It rough scored 358 P&Y  This was an awesome trip that words can hardly describe."

Below are some individual pictures of their harvest and some awesome sights they experienced while one their trip and a couple of videos.  Scott said that the hunters that were leaving when they arrived only saw 1 bull and 1 cow.  And look below at what these 3 men were blessed to see on a trip of a life time.

This bull passed within 15 yards of the hunters, but they had all just filled their tags.

If you look real close on the ridge just above the trees is a line of migrating caribou.

Kelly (of Brookhaven) and Scottie (formally from Brookhaven) are long time buddies and have gone on annual hunting trips together for over 20 years.  Scott McDonald, son of Kelly,  is Scottie's namesake.  What a wonderful memory for these 3 men!!!
