Tony Lowery of Ellisville, MS killed this 8 point with 17 1/2" spread on December 31, 2007. Below is Tony's sad story,

"I was on top of the world for about 20 minutes after I shot this 'broken up 10 point'.  I got a quick look at the buck's 17-1/2" spread before he turned up a hollow with the right side shining. I saw tines and a main beam out to the nose and then took the shot.  The first pic is what I saw when I approached.  I didn't see any tines on the left side and hoped they were under the leaves.  When I picked up the rack there were no tines to be found and I quickly came crashing down.  Fives tines were broken (G1 and G4 on right, and G1,2,3 on the left)."

Pictured to the left are Tony's future hunting buddies (Tony's son and nephew), Tyler Lowery, left and Tucker Gerald, right.
