Lynn Davis of Brookhaven, MS killed this big 9 point January 5, 2007 in Jefferson County, after letting the buck walk the 1st time he saw him on December 27, 2006.

Lynn kills only 1 buck per calendar year (Jan - Dec).  On December 23, 2006, Lynn killed another buck, (pictured below) off the same stand.  So, when he saw this buck of a lifetime (50 years of hunting) on December 27th, he would not shoot another buck in 2006.  So . . . ., he let him walk!!

Luckily, he saw this "big daddy" again on January 5th and took his 1st and only buck for 2007 early in the year.  Now, he'll settle for a doe every now and then until 2008.  Now, that's what I call patience!!
