Jonathan Breakfield, killed this nice buck in Lincoln County on 12/1/04, 17 inch spread 9 point, shot with 270.

These pictures were submitted by his hunting buddy, Shane Easterling who tells the following story:  (Below the story is a cam picture taken during the archery season.)

"Jonathan and I were going to go and hunt some private land that we hunt on that Wednesday afternoon before church.  I suggested to him a place that I thought would be good and he agreed, so I dropped him off and proceeded to my stand.  When I got to my stand, it dawned on me that I had probably made a mistake and picked the wrong place.
About the time I got my stand on the tree, Jonathan shot a couple of times; the last shot I knew by the sound had connected.  I pulled my stand and drove back to him where he told me what happened.  About 5 seconds after he pulled his gun up and settled in, a buck broke out of the cutover.  He got off a couple of shots at the deer running hitting him once in the back end.  The deer finally stopped about 250 yards from him and he made one of the greatest shots I have seen hitting the deer in the neck, and dropping him in his tracks.
He was pumped and I admit I was a little jealous, because I still have not killed anything, but all in all I was happy for him as this was his best buck to date."
