Austin Fremen of Luling, LA harvested this nice 8 point on his 12th birthday on private land near Brookhaven, MS.   He shot the buck at 16:12 on December 29, 2004.  He made an incredible shot with his .243 at approximately 130 yards in a four year old cutover.  The buck weighed 165 lbs and scored 99 5/8.  This is his second buck and his seventh deer.  Austin and his brother, Cameron (pictured with him in the second photo), both shot their first deer at age 6.  His buck was a smaller eight point he took in Texas while hunting as a guest with a school friend during Thanksgiving week this year.
