Fine 9 point (with extra kicker) taken by Daniel Alldredge of McComb and girlfriend, Tara Ransome of Enterprise on 1/5/03 on family land at Lake Mary in Wilkinson County.

This is Daniel's memorable story:  "We were hunting together, and I was trying to get Tara her first deer with a new .243 single shot that I had bought her for Christmas.  I saw 3 does coming from behind us.  She was getting ready for them when I spotted this huge buck behind them. I said, "Baby, its a huge buck!" She said, 'You shoot it!' I had one last opening to shoot through and I did. I heard the buck crash about 80 yards away. I usually shoot a 30-06, but the .243 (70gr.ballistic tip) put a hurtin on him. However, on the last weekend of gun season Tara took 2 big does with her new gun. She shoots better than I do." 

The buck grossed 155 3/8 B.C.  (9 scoreable points)
